Over 15% increase in JCC scholarships in 2010
Many local families have been facing tough decisions during this economic recession on whether to send their children to camp this summer. The camp's scholarship program has seen a 15% increase over last year's scholarship recipients with approximately 20% of campers receiving financial assistance for a total of $63,000 given to date.
United Jewish Federation helps to allocate funds on a yearly basis for camp scholarships, and the program is administered through the JCC and JFCS.
