New ! Joy, Despair and Hope: Reading Psalms Psalms have been read to uplift the soul, to comfort the sick, to console those who mourn, to celebrate moments of blessing and to provide the words that our souls can pray. Yet for so many of us, Psalms are a closed book, its language alien. Rabbi Edward Feld will teach two psalms from his new book, Joy, Despair and Hope: Reading Psalms; he will take us through his own personal reading and help us see our own lives reflected in these poems. Following the talk, Rabbi Feld will be available for a book signing.
