Project S.A.R.A.H. (Stop Abusive Relationships At Home) at Jewish Family & Children’s Service is proud to present Rethinking Purim. Join Beverly Rubman for a lively discussion about relationships based on those that we find in the Purim megillah, the story of Esther. What lessons - as wives, mothers, daughters, friends, intimate partners - can we 21st century women draw from Vashti? From Esther? From the men in the story? More than you might have been taught! Beverly Rubman is the Chaplain for JFCS's Secure@Home program. She received a Master's degree in Jewish Studies from Gratz College, has led many bereavement and other support groups and has taught numerous adult education programs in our community.
