We will meet on Tuesday, March 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the Beit Midrash to discuss The Invisible Wall by Harry Bernstein. The book is a memoir written by a 93 year old Jewish man recounting his childhood in a small mill town in Lancashire, England in the years before and during the First World War. He describes the “invisible wall” that ran down the middle of his street, keeping the Jews on his side and the Christians on the other mostly separate until his sister fell in love with a Christian boy. All of our books can be ordered on-line through TJC website at www.thejewishcenter.org where you can click on the Amazon link to earn a commission for the Synagogue. Multiple copies of our selections are also available at the Princeton Public Library on the “Book Club” table by the entrance. For a list of previous books or more information, please contact Louise Sandburg at louise@sandsmith.com or (609) 683-8395.
