The Borough of Roosevelt was established in 1936 under the auspices of the United States Government, as an agricultural-industrial cooperative for Jewish garment workers and farmers. As such, it was one of FDR’s experiments to find ways of dealing with the social and economic distress caused by the Depression.
Admission is free and refreshments will be served.
