Mr. Elad Strohmayer became Deputy Consul General to the Consulate General of Israel in Philadelphia on August, 2012. Mr. Strohmayer brings to his tour experience as both a diplomat and a Jewish community professional. His first post as the Deputy Chief of Mission in Luanda, Angola from November, 2010 through July, 2012. In 2006, Deputy Consul General Strohmayer graduated from Hebrew University of Jerusalem with a degree in Political Science and International Relations. During his studies at Hebrew University, he participated in an ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross) program regarding International Humanitarian Law (IHL) in Israel and represented Israel and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in an International IHL Competition in Switzerland organized by the ICRC. Mr. Strohmayer is a native of Bat-Yam, Israel, a suburb of Tel Aviv. He is fluent in Hebrew and English with a working knowledge of Portuguese and French.
